LINDA MARTIN, APR is a partner and managing director leading the Porter Novelli Southern California offices, which include Los Angeles, Irvine and San Diego. Teams in the offices provide media relations, content creation, community relations, reputation management and corporate communications to a variety of clients in the government, food and nutrition industry, and health and wellness areas. She has been with Porter Novelli for 15 years.
Until 2015, Linda served for 8 years as the global team leader for the Almond Board of California, overseeing teams in India, the UK, France, Germany, Canada and the US. Almonds are experiencing unprecedented global demand and popularity, with YOY growth averaging more than 9% in past five years.
In addition to her work in the food industry, Linda has coached CEOs, elected officials, spokespeople and other executives on how to communicate in a variety of situations—including speeches, presentations, and media interviews. She’s spoken at organizations and universities on topics related to marketing, reputation management and crisis communications.
A Southern California native, Linda joined PRSSA while studying communications at Cal State Fullerton, eventually serving as chapter president. She was accredited in 1988, and served on the board of the OC PRSA chapter for nearly 15 years. She and her teams have won multiple Silver and Bronze Anvil Awards, as well as dozens for other local and national PR awards over the years.
Aside from food, Linda’s passions include golf, yoga and traveling to warm places.
