SUMMARY:At Breakfast With (ABW) Health Journalists
DESCRIPTION:AT BREAKFAST WITH (ABW) HEALTH JOURNALISTS \nVia Zoom \n8 am\, Thursday\, August 24 \n$15 for PRSA-LA\, HPRA-LA\, and BPRS-LA members  |  $30 for non-members  |  $5 PRSSA students \nSponsored by: \n   \n  \nREGISTER HERE\n \n  \nSpeakers: \nKathleen Doheny \n \nKathleen Doheny is a Los Angeles-based independent journalist\, specializing in health\, behavior\, fitness\, and lifestyle stories. She reports for WebMD\, Medscape\, MD Edge\, Psycom.net\,  Practical Pain Management\, Senior Planet/affiliated with AARP\, NextAvenue.org and other sites. She is a mom\, mother-in-law and proud and happy Mimi who likes to hike\, jog and shop. Current fitness motivation: keeping up with 2 energetic grandchildren. \n  \nDenise Dador \n \nDenise Dador is the Eyewitness News Health Specialist whose “Circle of Health” reports can be seen on ABC7 Eyewitness News at 3 p.m.\, 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. \nSince joining ABC7 in 1998\, Denise’s mission has been to help Southern Californians improve their lives with timely medical information and advice. Through her reports\, L.A’s top medical experts become accessible and relatable. Throughout the coronavirus pandemic\, her stories played a pivotal role in helping Angelenos navigate their changing world. Besides volunteering to help groups that fund medical research and patient care\, Denise also represents KABC in her work with various Asian Pacific Islander and Filipino- American community organizations. \nDenise grew up in San Francisco. She attended Long Island University in Brooklyn and graduated from Mills College with a degree in communication.  At WXYZ-TV in Detroit\, she anchored the weekend news and hosted a weekly talk show. At KMPH in Fresno\, she was the main anchor of their 10pm news. \nDenise has received numerous journalism and community service awards including national recognition for her work with Asians for Miracle Marrow Matches. She received Emmy awards for News Feature Reporting and Outstanding Children’s Programming. \nOutside of work\, Denise is a wife and mother of a teen-aged son and daughter who both have big dreams. While she would like to say she is an avid runner or skier\, streaming historical documentaries and period dramas has become her latest obsession. \n  \nRobert Garrova \n \nRobert covers mental health at a time when L.A. — and the nation — is failing people who live with a serious mental illness. The L.A. County jail system is the de-facto mental health institution for our region\, and people who want help with their mental health often can’t get it\, even if they can afford it. He’ll work to help Angelenos understand how we got here and what reforms aim to change things. He’ll do this through the stories of people struggling with their own mental health and those trying to get care for a loved one. \nHis reporting has taken him to the edge of wildfires in California\, the White Mountains of New Hampshire\, steps away from a robot that’s now exploring Mars\, and into the homes of countless Angelenos. \nRobert has had many jobs in radio. He used to help produce and direct the flagship show for Marketplace\, a daily business and economic news show. He also spent a couple of years in the Northeast working as a reporter. He found his love of audio journalism while interning on LAist’s (formerly KPCC’s) Off-Ramp in 2013. \nHe was born and raised in SoCal. He is most proud when his journalism can help raise the voices of people struggling in this beautiful region stricken by inequality. \nREGISTER HERE

SUMMARY:PRophet Predict What’s Possible: Beyond the Buzz on Influencer Marketing
DESCRIPTION:PRophet Predict What’s Possible: Beyond the Buzz on Influencer Marketing.\nTuesday\, April 22 • 9 a.m. PST / 12 p.m. EST \nVia Zoom\nREGISTER HERE \nPublic Relations Society of America (PRSA) Western District will host its first virtual webinar in collaboration with PRophet\, “PRophet Predicts What’s Possible: Beyond the Buzz on Influencer Marketing.” Public relations and marketing leaders will unveil exclusive new research exploring why some influencers outperform others—even when metrics are identical. The webinar will examine what really moves the needle in sales and conversions\, and how marketers can harness these insights for 2025 and beyond. \nOver the last decade\, digital marketing has undergone a fundamental transformation. Brands no longer control the conversation— creators do. Consumers now trust peer recommendations more than traditional advertisements\, making creator-led marketing an essential strategy for brand growth and engagement. To better understand this evolving landscape\, we will use this session to discuss our latest research on the power of Influencer marketing in with brands and agencies: findings\, emerging trends\, and strategies that will shape the future of creator marketing in 2025 and beyond. \nFeatured Speakers: \n\nLimor Cohen – VP of Global Partnerships\, LEADERS by PRophet\nLimor Cohen is a dynamic marketing consultant with deep expertise in monetizing the influencer ecosystem. She is the founder of LCB Consulting and former executive at Komodo and Lightricks. Based in Tel Aviv\, Limor holds an MBA from Reichman University.\nEran Nizri – CEO & Founder\, LEADERS & IMAI by PRophet\nA visionary entrepreneur and digital marketing pioneer\, Eran Nizri is best known for founding and leading LEADERS into a globally recognized award-winning influencer marketing agency\, and Influencer Marketing AI by PRophet. LEADERS was recently acquired by Stagwell Inc.\n\nThis session will reveal groundbreaking research that debunks common assumptions about influencer marketing. Key finding: influencers who post 10+ stories per day dramatically outperform peers\, regardless of follower count or engagement rate—echoing the power of frequency in traditional media. Learn how this “repetition effect” can revolutionize company and brand creator-led campaigns. \nREGISTER HERE \n  \n  \nEvent sponsored by: \n   \n  \n  \n  \n  \nPRSA Western District is comprised of 11 chapters in five western states: Arizona\, Colorado\, Hawaii\, southern California\, and southern Nevada. PRophet is a cutting-edge platform for managing and optimizing influencer marketing campaigns.
