In his current role as an associate editor for LAist/KPCC\, he covers transportation and mobility. His coverage mission is to help people navigate how we get from point a to point b with reporting that focuses on equity\, context\, and solutions. In this role\, she is focused on passenger retention and increasing ridership for commuter and leisure travel. She has led social media and digital marketing strategy for over twelve years for numerous entertainment and nonprofit organizations to increase brand recognition\, audience engagement\, and attract donations. \nTwitter: @shericandler \n\n\n\nJONI HONOR\nExecutive Officer\, Communications\nLA Metro \nWith more than 20 years of experience in communications and in-depth knowledge of transportation\, Joni currently serves as the Executive Officer who oversees public relations strategy for the third largest transportation agency in the United States. She directs day-to-day operations for Digital Media\, Executive Writing\, Internal Communications\, Media Relations\, Partnerships\, and Special Events. \nJoni has a diverse professional background. Before coming to the Metro\, she ran her own public affairs consulting firm for more than eight years. She also worked at HP (formerly EDS)\, Terranova Pictures\, and the Colorado Department of Administration. During her tenure at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science\, she was tapped to serve in the Denver Mayor’s office\, assisting the press secretary with responding to the multiple international media requests and responding to the Columbine High School shooting. Most recently\, she earned an Executive Certificate in Public Policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government in 2021. \nIn addition to co-chairing and participating in several Metro internal cohorts\, Joni is a member of the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) Marketing and Communication Committee\, the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS)\, and the Public Relations Society of America. He has worked on urban planning issues and transportation policy throughout his career and is proud to be working at Lime to build a future where transportation is shared\, affordable\, and carbon-free. Immediately prior to joining Lime he served as the Press Secretary for the Speaker of the New York City Council.
