Essential Job Functions

Supports internal and external communication through monitoring, drafting and delivering releases, maintaining updated contact lists, reporting results of outreach as well as tracks and optimizes via traditional and digital media channels.
Drafts messaging, memos, briefing documents, creative, media communications, newsletters, RFPs, and other materials as appropriate.
Assists in management of internal departments, external agencies and vendors including reviewing materials, sharing assets, etc.
Maintains and updates website, assists in social media management.
Manages and administers marketing program documentation for government-supported programming.
Monitors, tracks, and reconciles budgets.
Manages department files, development of presentations, meeting planning and fielding customer service and sales requests for appropriate routing.
Assist on marketing projects as needed for domestic – export retail marketing, consumer response, packaging, Market Access Program (MAP) and Trademark Licensing.
Facilitates the management, legal, review, follow up, approval, and completion of marketing projects and communications.
Conducts departmental or market surveys as needed.
Maintains regular and timely attendance.
Meets professional obligations through efficient work habits such as, meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective, accurate and timely manner.
Other Duties

Performs other related duties and projects as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Maintains a neat work area; professional appearance and personal conduct at all times.
Attends meetings as requested.
Occasional travel; may be up to 15% annually.
Minimum Qualifications

One to two years’ experience supporting marketing or PR through a variety of functions or channels.
Understanding of Agriculture and or brand business preferred.
Agency experience strongly preferred.
Excellent written and verbal skills, (Proficiency in a second language a plus) creative thinking, analytic, and problem solving, express ideas professionally passionate, and positive.
Strong willingness to handle complexity and learn a broad variety of skills and job functions.
Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with others, internally and externally.
Strong administrative writing skills and excellent verbal communication skills are essential.
The ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameter of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
Takes initiative by identifying opportunities to support team, relentless attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percent’s, and/or ratios.
Experience and proficient with a variety of desktop tools: Word, Excel, Photoshop, PowerPoint, WordPress, Adobe Illustrator, as well as digital media tools: Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, etc.
Physical Requirements


Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential functions consistent with Sunkist standards, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with Sunkist standard, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
Must be able to: talk, listen and speak effectively on telephone; read, write and understand written documents and policy; sit for sustained periods of time.

Ability to type or otherwise work primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm.
Must be able to spend extended period of time viewing computer screen and/or operating a keyboard.

Moderate Carrying – must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
Able to stand; walk short distances; pull and/or push; grasp; reach; bend; stoop; kneel; crouch.
Must be able to travel by automobile, rail and air; overnight travel.
