My fellow PRSA-LA members,
In November, PRSA-LA will host the 52nd Annual PRism Awards, where members of Greater Los Angeles’ PR community will come together to recognize the very best in public relations strategic campaigns and tactics.
And if you’d like your work to be considered for recognition — the best time to submit your PRism nomination is now. Early entry pricing is valid through July 11, and the final entry deadline is August 15. Your work is eligible if you reside in L.A. or if you’ve completed work for L.A.-based clients.
Applying for — and hopefully winning — a PRism Award is a rewarding experience, not unlike preparing for a winning client pitch. Winning a PRism has been known to help independent PR practitioners, PR agencies, and public and private companies attract new business, maintain client loyalty and assess campaigns’ further awards potential.
And this year, we’ve made many changes to the PRism Awards to help you accomplish all of these things. Full details are available in the Call for Entries and Frequently Asked Questionsbut here are some of the improvements to this year’s competition.
- Online Application. For 2016, PRSA-LA has adopted the popular OpenWater awards platform for faster and more intuitive entry submission.
- National Alignment. Recent adjustments to PRism Awards categories provide greater alignment with PRSA National’s Bronze Anvil (for tactics) and Silver Anvil (for campaigns) competitions.
- Niche Recognition. New PRism Awards categories offer dozens of practice-area based recognition opportunities in Diversity Communications, Entertainment, Healthcare, Sustainability, Technology and Travel/Tourism/Hospitality.
- New Media Inclusion. New PRism Awards categories recognize excellence in a full spectrum of new media campaign elements, including apps, social media, video programs, webcasts, blogs and websites.
It’s time to give your work the spotlight it deserves. Enter PRisms today and take advantage of the low early bird pricing available through July 11.
We look forward to seeing you in November!
Warmly,
