Kate Franklin is Vice President for Coast Public Relations, an award-winning PR agency composed of experienced industry professionals ready to deliver tailored, creative, and effective public relations and communications services to help both domestic and international clients garner the right kind of attention.
Kate brings with her a diverse yet in-depth professional background in public relations, working within various realms of the lifestyle and consumer comms space primarily – lending her twelve-year-plus industry expertise to both up-and-coming as well as globally established brands – to drive, manage, and execute top-tier media relations, strategic planning, brand positioning, and ideation. Kate is also well-versed in business-focused and corporate media relations in addition to crisis counsel.
Kate leads earned media, strategic partnerships, and social media campaigns for consumer brands in the hospitality, F&B, home tech sectors including work for brands such as California Pizza Kitchen, MadeGood Foods, Thermomix, Ruggable, TenderGreens, Tocaya Modern Mexican Restaurants, and more.
Before joining Coast in 2015, Kate began her career with a brief stint at MTV/VH1 before moving into the traditional agency world with roles at BWR, Stanton & Company, and Bollare Communications. With a background in strategy, writing, and management, Kate oversees nearly all touchpoints regarding client relations. A native Angeleno, Kate is a health-and-fitness enthusiast, enjoys spending her free time painting and candle-making, loves four-wheeling in Wyoming, and exploring new cities.
