It’s time to spread the word to students, interns and young professionals.
PRSA-LA’s Third Annual PRSSA One-Day Conference is only one week away!
PRSA-LA will host its Third Annual PRSSA One-Day Conference at Loyola Marymount University on Saturday, March 7. The program, which is tailored to address the needs of job seekers new to the public relations field, will include a full day of presentations and workshops to enhance attendees’ career-readiness.
Morning Session
The morning session will feature dynamic speakers covering a range of intriguing and informative topics, including:
- Bridging the Generational Divide in the Workplace: Keeping your sanity working with Old Schoolers
- Nailing the Interview: Tips on making a great first impression
- Seeking a Creative, Strategic Thinker: What does being creative and strategic really mean, and how can you develop both
Afternoon Session
In the afternoon, conference participants will have the opportunity to pitch their creative ideas to a panel of expert judges. The session, called “Bringing a PR Concept to Life: Collaborating with Peers, Learning and Sharing Best Practices,” will involve engagement with a real PR challenge. Scott Pansky, co-founder and senior partner at Allison+Partners will facilitate, and teams will work in conjunction with a PRSA-LA Young Professionals mentor. After the judges score all proposals, the winning team members will earn mentoring time with one or more of the judges.
Special thanks to this year’s generous sponsors: Chevy Volt and Allison+Partners.
Cost:
$25 – PRSSA and PRSA members
