Tips For Going Out On Your Own: I’m an independent – now what?!
Friday, April 29
12:00 – 1:00 PM PT
Via Zoom
The pandemic created a work-from-home shift which drove many to reevaluate their current roles and positions. A lot of folks are waking up to the fact that there is an alternative available, and that going freelance affords a range of benefits – from being selective about projects, not working 60-hour weeks (unless you want to), to having flexibility with time to allow for a greater focus on health and family.
Becoming independent affords a lot of benefits, but also a lot more responsibilities. This “lunch and learn” session will feature advice and insights from seasoned independent practitioners and marketing professionals on key issues and considerations when starting out on your own. Topics for discussion include common myths vs. realities of being an independent, balancing your workload, tracking hours, business planning, budgeting, ins and outs of personal branding on social media, and more!
