PRSA Los Angeles’ Independent Practitioners Alliance (IPA) has re-launched the chapter’s directory of L.A.-area independent practitioners as part of its efforts to help professionals build their businesses through partnerships and solo opportunities.
“The directory will help provide independent practitioners with new opportunities to work with the region’s larger firms and for building partnerships with other independent professionals,” said David Garcia, IPA committee chair. “We expect it to become a valuable resource for public relations agencies seeking additional talent to support their clients.”
Based on Google Docs, the directory is a free, real-time resource that is incredibly easy to use. Here’s how to register:
- Access the Google Docs directory here.
- Scroll down to the first available line and fill in the required fields, which include sections for listing services provided and areas or industries of specialization.
- When the profile is complete, simply exit the document. Google Docs automatically saves the entry. Follow the same process for updates.
PRSA-LA IPA also offers several other ways to connect. Its bimonthly luncheon roundtable sessions feature industry veterans sharing their experience and expertise in areas critical to solo practice management. The Independent Practitioners Alliance group on LinkedIn and the PRSA LA Independent Practitioners Alliance (IPA) Facebook page are ideal networking and professional development forums.
