We’re expanding and seeking an Account Manager who is a strong leader, manager, and mentor. This is a role forsomeone who excels in a fast-paced environment, possesses sharp media instincts, and can confidently lead both client strategy and team execution with creativity and accountability.

Position Overview
The Account Manager will serve as the day-to-day client lead across several B2B and emerging technology accounts, driving earned media relations, analyst engagement, podcast outreach, and thought leadership programs. You’ll work closely with the Founder and senior team members to manage deliverables and oversee junior team members, including Senior Account Executives, Account Executives, Coordinators, and Interns, to ensure the agency maintains its high standard of excellence in every engagement.

Key Responsibilities
Client & Program Management

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients, ensuring strategic alignment and smooth execution of all PR activities.
  • Develop and implement integrated programs focused on earned media, analyst relations, podcasts, and thought leadership.
  • Serve as a project manager overseeing timelines, deliverables, and internal resources to ensure consistent high-quality results.
  • Provide proactive strategic counsel and identify new opportunities to elevate client visibility and credibility.

Earned Media Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with reporters, editors, and producers across business, tech, and trade outlets.
  • Together with the Founder, build out media strategy and narrative development to secure high-impact coverage.
  • Draft and refine press materials, including pitches, press releases, media advisories, and briefing documents.
  • Coordinate interviews, media briefings, and follow-up to ensure effective storytelling.

Analyst Relations

  • Identify and engage key industry analysts relevant to client sectors (e.g., Gartner, Forrester, IDC).
  • Manage analyst briefings, update sessions, and report inclusion opportunities.
  • Develop positioning and briefing materials to ensure consistent messaging across analyst and media engagements.

Podcast Outreach

  • Research, identify, and pitch clients to relevant podcast hosts and producers.
  • Support client participation in podcast interviews, including prep and messaging.
  • Explore opportunities for branded podcast development or partnerships to extend client reach.

Thought Leadership & Content

  • Collaborate on the development of bylines, op-eds, award submissions, and speaking abstracts.
  • Partner with writers and internal teams to refine executive positioning and thought leadership strategy.
  • Leverage data and insights to support compelling storylines and points of view.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Manage, Mentor/Coach junior team members, including Senior Account Executives, Account Executives, Coordinators, and Interns, offering feedback, guidance, and skill development.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions, new business proposals, and client growth initiatives.
  • Uphold and model JMAC PR’s values of creativity, collaboration, and results-driven excellence.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5–6 years of experience in public relations, preferably within an agency environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, mentor, and support junior team members, providing clear direction, constructive feedback, and accountability.
  • Proven track record in managing client accounts and leading media relations campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of B2B tech, AI, or SaaS industries (advertising, data, or enterprise experience a plus).
    Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
  • Naturally curious with a proactive mindset—eager to learn, explore new ideas, and stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Demonstrates strong work ethic, accountability, and follow-through in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, remote team setting.
