With more than 25 years of successful experience in communications, public relations, and the nonprofit sector, Marisol creates impact with GRACE, a five-step process in public relations to transform an organization’s mission. Through her company Mission Driven PR, Inc. and Nonprofit PR Academy, she helps nonprofit communications and development professionals generate impact in public relations that aligns with their missions. In addition, she provides event management to her nonprofit clients. Marisol also serves as an adjunct faculty teaching undergraduate communication courses at California State University, Dominguez Hills, where she is the PRSSA professional industry advisor.
Under her leadership in communications and marketing, she has earned 10 PR awards and two graphic design awards. While serving as publisher of Latina Bride, she was recognized as a finalist for the prestigious Hispanic Business Entrepreneur of the Year. Marisol has appeared on several Spanish television talk shows, and landed several articles in major metropolitan newspapers, among others. Besides being a board member of PRSA-LA Chapter, she is on the board of Bloom Again Foundation and Neighborhood Youth Association and a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
