In celebration of PRSA-LA’s 75th Anniversary, we will be highlighting members each month to show our appreciation. It’s part of our #ShineBrightLA campaign. The first PRSA-LA Member Spotlight is Allie Lee, director of Communications at Participant.
Q: What is one tip you would give to your younger self starting in this profession?
A: Try out a few different industries to see how the experiences differ and what you may be able to learn from each. There’s always time to become a specialist later.
Q: How has your PRSA Membership benefited you in your career?
A: PRSA has introduced me to passionate and dedicated professionals that inspire me to do my best. These past two years have been challenging and stressful for all of us. As communicators, we are uniquely positioned to spread the word about everything from the life-saving work of healthcare to the smile-creating business of entertainment. Being in such austere company is a privilege.
Q: What experience are you most proud of in your career?
A: It involved seven-foot-tall paper mâché heads, a helicopter, and the Hollywood sign. And lots and lots of teamwork.
Q: What is a fun fact about yourself?
A: I majored in German Studies.
Thank you, Allie Lee, for shining bright!
