For most people, the holidays are considered “the most wonderful time of the year,” or at least that’s how it goes in the song. But for public relations people, this is the most wonderful time of the year – the PRism Awards, presented by GM.
This annual event – our 51st! – is held each November to recognize and honor outstanding work and exceptional people in our field. We received 174 entries this year and next week, on Wednesday, November 4, we will be handing out 87 PRism Awards and Awards of Excellence to professionals representing companies, agencies, academic institutions, non-profit organizations, government and public entities, and independent consultancies. We will also be handing out six Special Awards to outstanding practitioners – and one team – who have attained our highest level of achievement.
The PRism Awards ceremony and dinner is the pinnacle of the PRSA-LA chapter year and this year’s event promises to be unlike any held in our history. We turned the reins over to Weber Shandwick who volunteered to take a fresh look at the awards, come up with a creative approach and produce something memorable for our honorees and all who attend. Without revealing too much, I can promise you that from the moment you arrive at the opening reception until the final moments of our “after party,” you will be in for a night of fun and celebration.
