It’s hard to believe that we are headed into the final quarter of the year and we are only a month away from our industry’s biggest event here in Southern California: the 51st Annual PRSA-LA PRism Awards. The PRisms recognize and celebrate excellence in the profession, both the work and the people who rise above through their outstanding contributions. Each year, this event draws PR professionals from all corners – corporations, agencies, non-profit organizations and independent consultants – and from all experience levels and every area of discipline expertise. It’s a special night for those being honored and a unique opportunity for everyone who attends to catch up with old friends and colleagues, meet new people and share in the celebration of all that we accomplish as a professional group.
This year’s awards ceremony is going to be particularly exciting as we are injecting some new energy into the PRisms. We have turned the planning reins over to Weber Shandwick, who volunteered their team of experts to put together the event. We charged them with looking at every aspect of the evening’s program with fresh eyes and coming up with unique ways to deliver an exciting, fun event that truly honors award recipients, while making the PRisms a memorable experience for all who attend.
Without revealing too much, we can promise you that everything from the moment you arrive at our new venue, to the reception, our program hosts format, how awards are presented, the entertainment and more has been turned on its head. I can promise you that this will not be the same old PRism ceremony you’ve experienced in the past!
So, if you were ever on the fence about attending this event, this is the year to be there. Tickets go on sale next week and I encourage you to get your colleagues and clients together and book early. This will be an event you don’t want to miss.
