DENISE EDWARDS-NEFF

Denise Edwards-Neff is the current Interim Dean, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and Professor of Communication at Azusa Pacific University after being the Associate Dean for Graduate Programs and Research.  She is also the Faculty Advisor for APU PRSSA. Previously, she was Professor of Communication and Director of Graduate Programs in Communication at Pepperdine University.  Denise has 10+ years of experience in public relations in higher education, corporate, and nonprofit organizations, and 20+ years of experience as an educator.

Denise’s research has been published in the Journal of Public Relations Research, Public Relations Review, Public Relations Journal, Business Review Yearbook, and The Handbook of Public Relations. Her research has been presented at annual conferences of the Public Relations Society of America, International Communication Association, National Communication Association, and International Association of Business Disciplines.

She earned a Ph.D. in Public Affairs and Issues Management at Purdue University, a master’s degree in Communication at Bowling Green State University, and a B.S. in Communication from Indiana State University. Dr. Edwards-Neff is an executive member of the International Commission on Public Relations Education and has served as Chair of the Public Relations Division of the National Communication Association.
