Zach Stevens is Director of Media Relations at Weber Shandwick, an earned-first global communications agency led by world-class strategic and creative thinkers and activators. As a passionate public relations professional with over ten years of experience, he leads media strategy efforts across several clients in the consumer and consumer technology space.
During his time at Weber Shandwick, Zach has supported General Motors securing national and local media coverage, staffing large media programs, and developing engaging story ideas. He has served as an on-camera spokesperson for Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC and was part of the team that created a robust media strategy for the Chevrolet Suburban becoming the first vehicle to be awarded an Award of Excellence star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The media strategy helped secure over 400 pieces of coverage globally.
Additionally, he has worked with Sony Electronics leading product launches and securing lifestyle and tech coverage for the brand, supported Genentech’s Ophthalmology Franchise around multiple FDA approvals, and was a part of the team that led a national campaign for the Los Angeles LGBT Center to drive awareness around PrEP. This campaign was awarded Best in Show at the 53rd Annual PRism Awards – Empowering the LGBT Community to F* w/out Fear of HIV.
Prior to joining Weber Shandwick, Zach began his public relations career at Racepoint Global in Boston, Massachusetts where he spent time with clients in the consumer, healthcare, technology, and public affairs space.
Zach is a member of The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and its Los Angeles Chapter and is a member of Weber Shandwick’s Market Visibility team that will look to hold additional events for PRSA at Weber’s current space in Century City.
Zach holds a BA in Communication from Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts.
