Leshelle V. Sargent is currently the Publicity Principal for Amazon MGM Studios where she leads publicity on various scripted series, comedy specials, and the Academy of Country Music Awards for Prime Video.

Prior to Amazon, she was Vice President of Communications for Paramount Media Networks and MTV Entertainment Studios where she led publicity for the brands VH1, Smithsonian Channel, MTV Movie & TV Awards, Comedy Central’s Hell of A Week with Charlamagne Tha God, and so much more.

Leshelle was also the previous Executive Director of Publicity for Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Publicity/Marketing in Burbank, Calif., where she directed publicity for series such as The CW’s Black Lightning (streaming also on Netflix), TNT’s original series Claws, HBO Max’s Pretty Little Liars, Queen Sugar on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) and more.

Prior to joining Warner Bros., she was a publicist with MSNBC, Hay House/SmileyBooks, PBS, and The Smiley Group, Inc. (TSG). Leshelle began her professional career in the fashion/music industry working for the parents of musical superstars Beyoncé and Solange Knowles at both Tina Knowles Productions and Music World Entertainment.

A corporate leader who strategically leads media efforts by leveraging a deep network of contacts and resources, Leshelle’s publicity campaigns have garnered worldwide attention by securing huge ratings, garnering awards, and more. In 2018, the Black Public Relations Society, Los Angeles (BPRS-LA) recognized Leshelle as a “PR Power Pro of Excellence.”

She currently sits on the board of directors for the Public Relations Society of America – Los Angeles, (PRSA-LA), the Texas Southern University School of Communications Alumni and Advisory Boards, and is a member of the Television Academy, and the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ). In her spare time, she volunteers with The Midnight Mission.
