Many public relations agencies hire consultants and freelancers to help handle highly specialized, exceptionally large or seasonal assignments. Some firms base their business models on subcontracting, which helps them create a cost-effective scalable organization. For public relations consultants and freelancers, subcontracting represents a new business opportunity.
At the Sept. 24 Independent Practitioners Alliance luncheon, Sarah Ingram and Carline Jorgensen will share their experiences and advice for winning subcontracting assignments with larger firms. You will learn:
• How to get your foot in the agency door
• The screening process that separates exceptional consultants from the qualified
• The “standard” terms and conditions – and challenges – of the agency-subcontractor relationship
• How consultants can build longer-term relationships with agencies
• What consultants really need to know about how agencies make staffing decisions
