Join marketing and media maven Shanita Akintonde as she shares her signature presentation, “Selling the Sizzle: How Brands (Including YOU) Can Become Notable and Quotable.” This webinaroffers an “insider’s view” on what the best brands do to remain on top and how you can do the same.
Known on the campus of Columbia College Chicago for academic lectures that are grounded in research and framed in COLOR, Akintonde is a three-time Excellence in Teaching award finalist. This 20-year teaching vet is a successful former advertising and PR practitioner whose client base included McDonald’s, Coca-Cola and Sprite. She is currently the executive vice president of branding for UJAMAA Construction, Inc., builders of the Obama Presidential Center in her hometown of Chicago. She also chairs the PRSA Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

Akintonde, MBA, M.Ed., DTM is a professor in The School of Media Arts at Columbia College Chicago and Interim Program Director, Culture Race & Media in the Cinema & Television Arts Department. A 25 year member of PRSA, she is the first recipient of the PRSSA Multicultural Student Scholarship.
