Charles Crumpley, Editor-in-Chief, LABJ
Charles began his tenure at the LA Business Journal in 2006. He is the winner of numerous national awards for his work as an editor, columnist, and reporter. Before joining the LABJ, he worked as an editor and writer at the New Orleans Times-Picayune, Daily Oklahoman, and Kansas City Star. He earned an undergraduate degree in English and Journalism from the University of Missouri and was a Fulbright scholar in Japan.
Destiny Torres, Technology Reporter, LABJ
Destiny covers all things tech for the Los Angeles Business Journal. She recently graduated from USC with a master’s degree in journalism and has four years of journalism experience. Along with her work at LABJ, Destiny has written for the Los Angeles Times, Remezcla, and the LA School Report.

Howard Fine, Healthcare/Infrastructure Reporter, LABJ
Howard is a 23-year veteran of the Los Angeles Business Journal. He covers stories pertaining to healthcare, biomedicine, energy, engineering, construction, and infrastructure. He has won several awards, including Best Body of Work for a single reporter from the Alliance of Area Business Publishers and Distinguished Journalist of the Year from the Society of Professional Journalists. He earned an MS in Journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern and a BA in English from Bates College.
