Mary Grady, PRSA-LA Board Member and Managing Director of Media and Public Relations for Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), recently celebrated the re-launch of www.LAXisHappening.com, a website that provides travelers updates on LAX modernization efforts while helping them to locate dining options, shops and amenities.
Information on the new mobile-friendly website is broken down on a terminal-by-terminal information for traveler ease and convenience. The site is currently being promoted through the airport’s WiFi log-in page, outdoor signage and LAWA social media channels.
“With five of the airport’s nine terminals under construction, updated information by terminal will be extremely helpful for passengers who want to plan ahead,” Grady obseves. “Also, with a same-day boarding pass, travelers can dine or shop at any terminal in the airport, which is a great way to explore all that’s new at LAX, while passing the time before or between flights.”
All enhancements at LAX are part of the ongoing multi-billion-dollar LAX Modernization Program, which is funded by operating revenues, capital improvement program funds, fees from airlines, passenger facility charges, and airport revenue bond proceeds.
LAX is the fifth busiest airport in the world and second in the United States. The airport served nearly 70.7 million passengers in 2014.
