Role Overview
We are looking for a reliable and technically strong Systems Administrator to manage and maintain the infrastructure, IT systems, and internal tools that power LockedIn AI.
This is a foundational operations role where you will ensure that all systems are:
Stable
Secure
Monitored
Scalable
You will own the health of our cloud infrastructure and internal IT systems that support a platform serving over 1 million users.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure Management
Manage AWS / GCP / Azure cloud infrastructure
Monitor system health, performance, and uptime
Handle provisioning, scaling, patching, and upgrades
Manage Kubernetes clusters and container workloads
Maintain backup and disaster recovery systems
Identity & Access Management
Manage IAM across cloud and internal systems
Handle SSO, MFA, and directory services
Provision and deprovision user access
Conduct access audits and permission reviews
Manage privileged accounts and security access
Networking & System Administration
Manage VPCs, firewalls, DNS, VPNs, and load balancers
Handle SSL/TLS certificates and domain configurations
Ensure email systems (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) are correctly configured
Troubleshoot networking and connectivity issues
Manage CDN configurations for performance optimization
SaaS & Endpoint Management
Administer SaaS tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, GitHub, etc.)
Manage software licenses and subscriptions
Handle endpoint security and device management
Evaluate and onboard new IT tools
Maintain IT asset inventory
Security & Compliance
Implement system-level security best practices
Manage endpoint protection and vulnerability patching
Enforce access control and security policies
Support SOC 2 / GDPR compliance requirements
Perform regular system security audits
Monitoring & Incident Response
Build monitoring and alerting systems
Respond to incidents and production issues
Participate in on-call rotations
Maintain incident documentation and runbooks
Automate routine system fixes and monitoring tasks
Required Qualifications
Experience
3+ years in systems administration or IT operations
Experience managing cloud infrastructure in production
Strong Linux systems administration experience
Experience working with engineering and security teams
Startup or fast-paced environment experience preferred
Technical Skills
Strong Linux administration and shell scripting (Bash/Python)
Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Networking fundamentals (DNS, VPN, firewalls, TCP/IP)
Kubernetes and Docker familiarity
Infrastructure tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar)
Monitoring tools (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch)
Core Skills
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
High reliability and ownership mindset
Clear communication and documentation skills
Ability to work independently in fast-moving environments
Strong focus on uptime and system stability
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting AI/ML infrastructure
Endpoint management tools (Jamf, Intune, etc.)
SOC 2 / compliance system experience
CI/CD infrastructure support experience
Email deliverability and SaaS system administration
Startup experience (Seed to Series A stage)
