Maricela Cueva is the President of VPE Communications, the largest Latina-owned full-service public relations agency in Los Angeles that understands and meaningfully connects with diverse audiences. VPE is a results-driven agency known for its excellent media relations and publicity, outstanding community contact, and influential networks.
Maricela is a strategic public relations professional with more than 20 years of experience, who manages the daily operations of the agency including project and budget management, new business development, strategic planning, media relations, community outreach, special events coordination, and overall client relations for regional and statewide campaigns. She also oversees the creative development of advertising campaigns, media planning, and media buys for clients.
She has created award-winning integrated campaigns for brands, nonprofits, government entities, and foundations to help meet their diverse communications needs through creative, innovative, and culturally relevant strategies with quantifiable results. It’s not uncommon for her team to secure over a billion media impressions for their clients.
She has experience working with Disneyland, Verizon, Vallarta Supermarkets, Hispanas Organized for Political Equality (HOPE) Vaccinate 58, LA County Public Health Department, LA County Parks and Recreation, LAUSD, Caltrans, First 5 LA, the Housing Authority for the City of Los Angeles, and more.
She is a former president and current member of HPRA Los Angeles and the founder of two nonprofits that focus on education and the environment.
